Starting an AI agency: from consuming content to learning with clients
You can have a huge list of saved tutorials and still not know which problem you want to solve. In this video, I discuss a common difficulty when starting an AI agency: using learning as a way to postpone real conversations and tests.

01A list of videos is not a deliverable
Learning a tool can be useful. The problem begins when each new tutorial displaces the previous exercise and you never check what you can actually do. Saving resources, sharing them or discovering features is not the same as meeting a need.
To assess your situation, look at what you finished last week. A small demonstration, an interview with a business or a bug you can now reproduce provides concrete information. If you can only list videos watched, you may need to change how you divide your time.

02Learning and client conversations can move forward together
The video's central proposal is not to treat training and commercial activity as completely separate stages. Conversations with real people reveal problems and constraints that a generic example does not cover.
You can ask how they perform a task, what makes it difficult to maintain and what they have tried before. You do not need to promise a solution you have not mastered. The conversation also helps you discover which part you can study and responsibly demonstrate.
03Practice needs a scope you can handle
In the recording, I encourage moving beyond passive consumption and trying projects. When turning that idea into a delivery standard, distinguish exploration from commitment: identify what you can do, what you do not know and what needs validating before charging for a result.
A small pilot lets you learn without claiming the entire system is solved. Agree with the other person what you will test and what remains outside the scope. Technical uncertainty should be part of the conversation, not a surprise at the end.
04A week with less noise
Choose a need and make time for three actions: understand it, build a test and show it. Use learning resources when they answer a question from that work. Afterwards, note what changed because of the test and what you need to learn next.
That cycle does not guarantee clients, but it helps replace accumulated information with evidence of progress. The measure stops being how many tools you know and becomes what you can explain, test and improve.
