An AI agency roadmap: system, demo and delivery

This class brings together the roadmap I would follow to begin offering AI solutions. The tool comes after thinking about the process and client. That relationship is worth preserving when moving from learning to an offer another person will use.

01Draw the system from start to finish

In the video, I use the example of someone booking an appointment and eventually attending it. That journey has a starting point, a result and intermediate steps. Drawing it helps reveal where information is lost or a task repeats.

The idea of a system is to explain that journey and repeat it with control. Before automating it, describe what happens at each step and who is involved. You can then decide which part deserves a tool and which should remain a human decision.

02Choose a context before collecting tools

A clinic, a workshop and an estate agency may share some tasks, but not every need. Choosing a field helps you ask more precise questions and prepare a recognisable demonstration.

The recording mentions n8n and concepts such as conditions, HTTP requests and APIs. You do not need to learn them all at once. Connect each concept to the process you are trying to solve, so the learning answers a specific question.

03Build a demo that completes a journey

I suggest preparing a pilot page whose demonstrated parts can actually be used. If the demo is about bookings, the test should complete that journey with sample data. A decorative button does not confirm that the process is solved.

Record its limits too. A demo may validate an interaction without being ready for real data or high usage. Clearly showing what works and what is missing supports an honest client conversation.

04Prepare sales and delivery together

The roadmap includes finding clients, learning to discuss the proposal and organising implementation. It helps to think about delivery before closing: which information you need, who will provide access and how the result will be checked.

The video also covers support. Define which incidents you will handle, which changes fall outside maintenance and how people should ask for help. A delivery dependent on your personal computer or accounts without clear organisation still needs preparation.

05Pricing needs data and scope

The final part compares examples of savings and additional activity when considering a proposal. The whiteboard figures are illustrative, and some are unclear in the transcript; I do not turn them into universal rates.

Start by understanding the current process and the resources needed for delivery. Then separate setup, tool usage and maintenance. An improvement hypothesis should be testable; time saved does not automatically become money available to the client.
