Working from Paraguay: travel, routine and building a brand

On 28 April 2026, I started documenting my trip to Paraguay. It was my first time in Latin America, and I faced a month away from my partner, my cat and my family. The video combines work, journeys, exercise and the small scenes that rarely appear in a business presentation.

01Changing location does not remove everyday tasks

After the journey, I show the apartment and the space where I would work. Mentoring sessions continue, there are meetings, and food shopping and laundry still need doing. Remote work changes the setting but still needs everyday organisation.

I wanted to show that mixture. The video moves from a walk to an explanation of the business and then to buying food at a restaurant. It is a way of documenting how a project is built while life continues around it.

02First impressions are personal

Coming from Barcelona, I noticed the contrast between the accommodation, the natural surroundings and the nearby paths. I also describe feeling calm and meeting local people. These are impressions of the places I visited, not a description of all of Paraguay.

As the stay continued, I adjusted my habits and understood my surroundings better. That adaptation reminded me that getting to know a place takes more than comparing it with your home city. Travel is partly about discovering what you do not yet know.

03A shared identity for my projects

During the recording, I explain that I was working on the identity of ELITE IA, ScalePath and my personal brand. I had asked for design help and wanted the colours, typography and presentation to make the relationship between the three recognisable.

Each project retains its role: training, software and the person sharing the process. Visual consistency helps visitors recognise that relationship, but it also needs to exist in what we deliver and how we explain each offering.

04A birthday away from home is part of the story too

At one point, I say that it is 5 May, my birthday, and that I am far from my family. That scene gives context to the decision to travel: excitement can coexist with difficult moments. Showing only the scenery would leave that part out.

What I want to retain from this experience is the possibility of building without erasing the personal side of the journey. If you are planning a period working away, think about routines, relationships and what helps you feel supported. Business is not the trip's only variable.
